Doc Anderson here - I am going to talk about an area that is near and dear to my heart, the Weedon Island Preserve in eastern Pinellas County.  It is approximately 10-miles long including mangroves, wetlands and pine hammock.  When I moved here in 1989, Weedon Island was under immediate threat for commercial development for not only a shopping center, housing development and even a rumored prison.  I am now going to lead you on a hiking video tour of the preserve from the ground level
